Tom and Phil, co-founders of premium burger restaurant group, Honest Burger, approached us to help share their ‘Honest Story’. After 15 restaurant openings, Tom and Phil wanted to let customers know that the original DNA was still there. They were keen to differentiate themselves from competitors, build a platform to tell their story and reinforce their credibility with customers.
We created an integrated communications campaign which included an event, social media and traditional PR to generate interest from target audiences and demonstrate Honest Burger’s ethos. We took the brand back to where it all started, making high quality, simple burgers for people they care about.
The event, ‘Hey Neighbour’, was a backyard BBQ hosted by the duo in Tom’s garden. In attendance were their friends, family, employees, suppliers, loyal customers and key food media and influencers. We also produced a series of social media films, promoting them only along commuter routes near the restaurants at the 'hungriest' times of day!
Over 20 lifestyle journalists and food bloggers attended and blogged about the event and media coverage included the Evening Standard, Shortlist, Men’s Health, Daily Express & ELLE.
The social media films were shared on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with in excess of 300,000 engagements and a direct increase in footfall for all restaurants.
