 Who we are looking for

The Media Zoo Academy is looking for outstanding, talented and ambitious graduates, postgraduates and students who want to launch their careers.  You’ll be self-motivated, team oriented and hungry to learn from those around you.  You’ll also have a desire to be accountable from day one.

You will have the opportunity to work with us for approximately 6 months on a variety of hands-on projects and enjoy real responsibility.  Each day will be a learning experience that will motivate and challenge you.

You will gain new skills and knowledge about business trends and issues by liaising directly with experts in their fields.

 

Our Teams

The teams you can work in are PR, Film or Learning & Development.  You will be supported by the team you work with and you’ll be given a clear development programme. 

Successful completion of the internship can lead to permanent employment at Media Zoo.

 

Media Zoo Scotland

The Media Zoo Academy is also looking for a graduate trainee to join our Glasgow team in our state of the art new office.  This is an amazing opportunity for someone who will enjoy joining a creative media agency at the start of its growth.

The new intern will be required to assist across all departments where each day will be a learning experience that will motivate and challenge you. The internship will last for approximately 6 months

Successful completion of the internship can lead to permanent employment at Media Zoo.

 

Media Zoo Academy Benefits

 You will receive a salary of £20,000 per annum.

Media Zoo Academy / Job Descriptions

Role: PR Intern

Reporting to: PR Director

Salary: £20,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday 9.30am to 6pm

 

The Role

As one of our PR Interns you will be working with a variety of clients.  You will learn how to develop messaging, write press releases and rapidly respond to all type of media opportunities.

You will support the PR team in any PR/Project based research, maintaining the calendar of events relevant to the PR community and managing ad-hoc projects. You will also have the opportunity to take full ownership of both internal and external enquiries on behalf of the senior management team, offering advice and solutions wherever possible.


This role offers fantastic exposure to a wide range of responsibilities and will be an excellent springboard for your future career in Communications.

Role: Film Intern

Reporting to: Head of Film

Salary: £20,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday 9.30am to 6pm

 

The Role

This is an amazing opportunity for the right intern who has career aspirations in filmmaking.  The film intern will work alongside experienced professionals who will mentor you. As a film team intern you will be working with a multi award winning team across film and animation.  If you wish, you can choose to specialise in one particular area of production – animation, post or production.

You will support some of the best producers, script writers, editors and animators in the industry and you’ll learn what it takes to create engaging content for a diverse and exciting range of clients. You will have the opportunity to work across all aspects of the production process from initial idea conception to research, scripting, casting and pre-production.

You will assist on film shoots, learn about post production workflows, cameras and kit.   This role will give you a fascinating insight into all aspects of film production and will be an excellent introduction to working within a dynamic agency.

Role: Learning & Development Intern

Reporting to: Head of Learning

Salary: £20,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday 9.30am to 6pm

As a Learning Intern you will be working alongside some of the best in the Learning industry.  You will have the opportunity to be immersed in our award-winning culture, grow your professional network, interact with our senior managers and share your contributions with the entire company.

The Learning team produce highly visual, creative learning solutions that include design, messaging, storytelling and a seamless use of film and animation. You'll get exposure to our diverse client base including retail, banking and charity sector clients, as well as working with our top Learning Consultants, Graphic Designers, Animators and Film Producers. 

We pride ourselves on being industry leaders in Agile project management, so you'll experience daily stand-ups and content reviews as well as having an inside look at how our large blended campaigns are organised and successfully delivered.
