Challenge

Meta, a prominent tech company, faced challenges in streamlining employee training due to the limitations of traditional methods. Conventional approaches often proved time-consuming and ineffective, particularly in complex industries.

Solution

To address this challenge, Finer Vision devised an innovative solution leveraging virtual reality (VR) technology called over-the-shoulder training (OTS). This approach allows new hires to immerse themselves in a virtual environment where they observe and interact with a virtual instructor. By learning at their own pace and practicing in a simulated setting, employees can grasp complex concepts more effectively.

Impact

The implementation of OTS training revolutionised Meta's employee onboarding process. By adopting VR technology, Meta significantly reduced training time from 120 to 90 days. The streamlined and immersive nature of OTS training not only expedited the onboarding process but also enhanced the effectiveness of employee training, ultimately contributing to improved productivity and efficiency within the organisation.
