Challenge

The PwC Inclusion team approached us with a problem they needed help solving; disabled and neurodiverse colleagues at PwC were feeling shame, stigma and awkwardness around the topic and, more worryingly, around their existence. Our goal, was to create a film that would tackle awkwardness head on. Our idea was to shine a light on the everyday inventions that people use without realising they were actually created for disabled and neurodiverse people.

Solution

From day one, we wanted to create something unique and authentic for PwC’s workforce. Discussions with the client revealed that none of us wanted to create something sombre or filled with “inspiration porn”. We felt a deep responsibility to convey authentic messages that resonated with the community. With careful consideration of locations throughout and close collaborative work, we ensured the people of these communities where the stars of the piece on and off screen.

Impact

Our goal was to start conversations around disability and neurodiversity - we have achieved just that. “I’m pleased to say reactions have been super positive and it’s landing well with the new viewers, which is what we’ve hoped for.
